Apple may be launching the new iPhone 6 on Friday, September 19 according to a Chinese website called Tencent. German carrier Deutsche Telekom expects for Apple to launch the new iPhones on the same date.
This rumor is not far fetched since Apple has been launching its new iPhones on similar dates. The Cupertino company launched the iPhone 5 on Friday, September 21st back in 2012, the iPhone 5s and 5c launched on Friday, September 20th. If the rumored launch date is in fact on Friday, September 19th then Apple will more likely release iOS 8 to the public on September 17th, since Apple releases major iOS updates a few days before the launch of the new iPhones.
Two different iPhone 6 models are expected to launch this year, one with a 4.7-inch display and a second one with a 5.5-inch display. In addition to a larger display, ultra thin design, narrower bezels and rounded edges, the iPhone 6 is expected to include Apple’s new A8 processor, Touch ID fingerprint sensor, and an improved 8-megapixel camera. The 5.5-inch iPhone is is also expected to feature optical image stabilization.
