Apple may release the iPhone 6 with 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch display as early as September, according to a report from Nikkei Asian Review.
Tokyo suppliers are going to start production soon, says the report. Manufacturers have reportedly started making some of the components like fingerprint sensors ans chips for liquid-crystal drivers. Sharp’s Kameyama factory, Japan Display’s Mobara plant, is to start mass production of LCD panels around April-June quarter. LG Electronics will also supply panels, according to source. The new handset’s display resolution is expected to be significantly higher than that of current models.
It has been reported that Apple is working on two iPhones with larger screens, but may only be launching one of them in september.
