Chronic Dev Team has just released greenpois0n to jailbreak iOS 4.1 for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 4G, iPod Touch 3G and iOS 3.2.2 for iPad.

Chronic Dev team had to delay the release of greenpois0n after Geohot released limera1n as they decided to incorporate the same USB bootrom exploit used in limera1n instead of using the SHAtter exploit so that it can be used sometime in the future. greenpois0n works only on iOS 4.1 and iOS 3.2.2 for iPad. iPhone 4 users can use Tiny Umbrella if they want to upgrade to iOS 4.1 to preserve the baseband so that they can unlock it using Ultrasn0w after jailbreaking their iPhone. The iPhone Dev Team had released a beta version of Redsn0w for iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G users to jailbreak iOS 4.1 couple of weeks back but it was only for Mac users.

They have just released the beta version of Redsn0w 0.9.6b1 for Windows users as well.

It uses the pwnage2 DFU-mode exploit and not the SHAtter exploit that was discovered by pod2g so it can be used to jailbreak only iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G.
