Angela Ahrendts announced she was leaving Burberry last October and Apple also announced last year that she would be joining the company this spring. Tim Cook has now confirmed during the earnings conference call that Ahrendts will be joining Apple next week.

Angela-AhrendtsAhrendts will be replacing John Browett, who was fired in October 2012 following a series of controversial decisions to cut store employees in order to squeeze additional profits from the retail section. She will be the new SVP, senior vice president of retail and online stores and will report directly to CEO Tim Cook.
