The Apple TV has come a long way from being referred to as a “hobby”, there has been a number of content added to it in the past few months and now The History Channel, A&E, and Lifetime have been added to the Apple-branded set-top, but you will need to have subscriptions to enjoy these services. We reported earlier in the week that Alpine may be planning to sell aftermarket CarPlay units in the fall and Pioneer plans to update its firmware for existing in-dash systems, now Apple’s CarPlay microsite names Alpine and Pioneer as the official suppliers of aftermarket systems. According to a report from CNET, Many companies including Apple are trying to stop smartphone theft by entering into the Smartphone Anti-Theft Voluntary Commitment.

The CTIA trade group has proposed this anti-theft measure that will come preloaded or be available for download on new model smartphones. This tool will disable a stolen phone and will be made available by participating manufacturers and carriers. Continue reading »

MacRumors discovered new photos posted on Bennett Construction website, the photos are of Apple’s European headquarters located in Cork, Ireland.
