What’s the date today, middle of August? Great, so we can now say with scientific certainty that it takes four and a half months to bring an excellent April Fools’ idea to market.
The third generation iPod Touch was announced in September last year. Though initial speculations had nearly confirmed the presence of a camera, Apple had surprisingly scrapped the feature in the eleventh hour.
Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs had later explained that the company decided to do away with the feature in order to “get the price down where everyone can afford it”.
With cost of camera sensors having come down in the past few months, it now appears that Apple may finally include a 2-megapixel camera in the next generation iPod Touch. Vietnamese website Tinhte has published a series of pictures and video that showcase a leaked prototype of the next generation iPod Touch.
