Sometimes it can be hard to see where we’re walking while we’re in a in depth conversation through text. Well, do not fret, because there is now a jailbreak tweak that uses the camera to show you right where you’re walking while  texting.

CamText is going to use the camera as the background on the Messages app. That way you get a live feed of what you’re about to walk onto or into without even looking up from your device. You’ll need to install Messages Customiser, which is a free tweak that enables this tweak to work. Continue reading »

Mobile devices have slowly entwined with our lives to the point that most people spend more time with their mobile phones than any other gadgets (or even people sometimes!). Continue reading »

Google has just released a new documents editor for Google Docs, which will allow users to edit documents on the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

Back in September, Google had announced that it will be adding editing capabilities for Google Doc for iPad users. The mobile version of Google Docs allowed users to view documents in read-only mode until now. So by offering Google Docs on the iDevice, Google will be able to compete with Apple’s popular iWorks suite of apps for the iPad and other third party apps such as Documents to Go and Quickoffice that have been offering this capability for quite sometime now. But since Google Docs will be free, it could still emerge as the winner even though it has taken so much time to introduce the feature. Continue reading »

According to Techcrunch, Apple and Swedish music streaming service Spotify are involved in a very early stage discussion about a possible acquisition by the former.

Techcrunch has received an e-mail tip off from an anonymous source which read, “Apple, Inc. (AAPL) in negotiations to acquire Spotify,” As soon as they received it, they decided to dig a little deeper and claims to have confirmed that the two are in ”on and off” discussions about an acquisition. They add that “No firm price has been offered, no term sheet tabled”. This is a very interesting development because as recently as last month, Apple was trying to derail the launch of Spotify in the US. Rumors were flying in thick and fast about Apple allegedly convincing record labels that Spotify’s business model would be a loss making proposition. Continue reading »
