The FCC reached a deal with five major wireless companies in the U.S. last year, the deal would make it easier for consumers to unlock their mobile phones.

Sprint seems to be keeping their part of the agreement by making all devices launched after February 11, 2015 unlockable, which means if you purchase a device after February 11, 2015 you will be able to to unlock it and use it on another domestic network such as AT&T or T-Mobile. The iPhone is launching at five new U.S. carriers starting on April 20th, reports MacRumors.

So far the known carriers launching the device are:
– nTelos Wireless (Virginia)
– Alaska Communications (Alaska)
– Appalachian Wireless (Kentucky)
– GCI (Alaska)
